Which prescription acid reflux medicine works best for you?
I have had acid reflux for the last few years, but in the past few months my symptoms are getting much worse. The back of my throat burns ALL the time, when I wake up my throat is incredibly sore and my voice is raspy every single morning, and it just feels like I have burning phlem stuck in my throat 24 7. I tried tums and prevacid and they didn't really work. My doctor gave me a months worth of Nexium to try and it did nothing, so has anyone had any medicine that improved these symptoms? Thanks.
What is the best way/medicine to help Acid Reflux?
I have acid reflux, and I am currently taking Prilosec OTC.It doesn't seem to help, as I am getting alot of liquid in my mouth even after I take the medicine .So, what is the BEST medicine or way to help my acid reflux?
What could happen if you have acid reflux and don't take medicine for it?
Awhile back my doctor told me that I have Acid Reflux and got me medication for it to take every day.I did that for about a month, and eventually got sick of taking a stupid pill every day. What can happen if I continue not taking that stupid pill? Any way I can get rid of it without spending an arm and a leg for the medication?
Is Prevacid (medicine for acid reflux) ok to take during pregnancy?
I don't even know if i'm pregnant yet. Thats not my question. My question is i take Prevacid every day for my Gastro esophageal reflux disease heartburn times 100 i can't live without it. my reflux is that bad. but if i get pregnant or if i already am does anyone know if it will hurt the baby? or if there is something else i can take? over the counter prilosec, tums, mylanta, none of that works, its not strong enough. has anyone had this problem? if its really bad i will not take it obviously the baby's health is more important but i need to take something. any ideas??
Acid Reflux Medicine?
My doctor gave me Prevacid for acid reflux. It's been 3 days or so since I started and my symptoms are worse and more painful than ever. The information sheet that came with it said it might take up to 4 weeks to comtrol my symptoms. This really sucks because there are no over the counter meds that have worked for me either.Has anyone else taken Prevacid? How long does it take to start working?

I have these constant burping noises coming out of my throat & I had it for 2 years Its not really burping noises its just like some kind of 'grru' sound.My friends & sisters can hear it.My friend thinks I'm hungry or something but it feels like it has nothing to do w my stomach.Sometimes at school when the classroom is quiet the noise constantly comes out of my throat & some classmates turn around to look at me like I burped or something.I even have it right now & its annoying I searched it here & people say it's acid reflux.I searched a video on it on youtube & seen old senior citizens have it.Im only 13 Is it odd for me to have it??Are there some medicines I could get for these noises to stop?
Does anyone have a simple (none medicine) solution for acid reflux?
After 10 years of having this problem I discovered, by accident that Lemon juice about three tablespoons in a bottle of water,daily, has totally resolved my problem.Do You have a good solution?Interestingly enough I had read that the cause of acid reflux is because we kill off the good acid by taking to much medication to solve the problem.The lemon juice corrects the acid balance.I too am on 4 medications daily for Rheumatoid arthritis and Hyprothyroidism and it still works. It surprises me as much as anyone. But the problem has been repaired for two years now. I personally am grateful.I always look for simple solutions rather than more medication.I have a diabetic Husband so we are on a very healthy diet to keep his sugars under control plus walking 2 to 2 1 2 miles every evening. I understand the skepticism.
