Chest pain resulting from acid reflux?
I have had acid reflux for about 8 years now. It started when I was drinking a Pepsi and the bubbles expanded in my throat, causing severe pain. The heartburn started pretty much right after that, but I had chest pain associated with it for about 4 years. This past year has been the worst for the pain. The doctor has me on omeprizole and it really helps the heartburn. I have been taking it for 3 months and still have chest pain. What can be the problem causing the pain and is there any treatment?I've tried a few other meds and they haven't worked well. Prilosec works very well. Could it be that I need to give it more time or are there other issues that can cause the pain, resulting from reflux?I'm 40. I do have to stay away from certain foods ie pasta, lasagna, chocolate, etc. I am very disciplined on what I eat. Things were very irritated for a long time. It still feels like I have a lump in my throught sometimes with the pain. Beside that, I'm in good shape.

Advice needed....concerning acid reflux, arthritis and chest pain.?
I am at a stand still with these symptoms. Couple months ago my acid reflex acted up so I take my nexium. Symptoms go away. My allergies are bad. I get steroid shots different times in the year. Next, my chest started feeling like it had a brick lying on it. Naturally, I assumed it was my allergies again. Next, somehow I got a kidney infection along with a yeast infection. Got rid of those but still had issues with my kidney infection. That is fine today except I have lower back pain which I associate wiht the 3 spinal blocks I have had during child birth. I made an appointment with my rhumatologist.....arthritis doc and had made one with my stomach doc but he wants me to see my regular doc to make sure it is not my heart.....Am I dying? I wake up with all these symptoms and I go to bed with them....Whats Up here? I am soooooo confused. My doctor thinks it is my gall bladder...any info on this form yall.

Acid reflux, & chest pain, with left arm going numb?
I've had acid reflux forever but I have not taken my medication in over a year because I couldn't afford a doctor. The acid reflux has often caused me chest pain but for the past 3 weeks it's going down my arm & numb and I have headaches. My friend scared me and told me I was having heart attack symptoms. I'm 22 though. Is it possible that this is acid reflux still or would that definetely be a heart problem? All my grandparents except 1 had heart problems so I know it runs in the family. I go see a doctor today at the clinic for something else so I can get a referral to both a heart and stomach doctor if that's what I need. I'm just scared now that she said that. Has anyone ever had this with acid reflux?

Is difficulty swallowing and pain in chest upon swallowing a symptom of acid reflux.....?
I had strep a few weeks ago & had to be put on 2 courses of antibiotics to knock it out 21 days , the strep is now gone. But since being sick & being on the antibiotics, I've had heartburn, difficulty swallowing & chest pain upon swallowing & the doctor said he thinks its acid reflux & hastily gave me an acid blocker, which I have yet to take because the heartburn really wasn't THAT bothersome & I didn't think I needed it. My doctor is one of those that rushes you thru, & not a good listener My chest is bothering me, sometimes even hurting a little when I breathe although I've had no chest congestion or coughing , and when I eat, things that don't normally get stuck, are getting stuck at my chest & difficult to get to go down & it's painful. Is this really a symptom of acid reflux? I've never had a problem with acid reflux before, I have none of the other symptoms that I've heard of with acid reflux. Should I get a 2nd opinion? Anyone had this symptom before? The reason I am so hesitant at taking the acid blocker meds is because I don't want to take unnecesary medication & because I've heard negative things about acid blockers themselves.Anyone ever have this problem as a complication of strep? I first noticed it when I had been on my first course of antibiotics for 2 days. Also, I don't have the money to go out and get unnecessary prescriptions filled. It wouldn't seem to be my heart, if the problem is when I swallow, I would think.

I have recently been suffering from back pain, chest pain, acid reflux, & headaches? Is it stress?Doc says yes.
I am currently taking Zantac, Klonopin, and Zoloft for a panic disorder. I am just scared my diagnosis is wrong and I'm going to die I have had a second opinion and he agreed with the first doc. What should I do??????
