Simple acid reflux, GERD or barrett's esophagus? IMPORTANT plz help?
hi, i have been having a bit of of a dry throat and difficulty swallowing food lately. although i can swallow competely, it just doesn't seem like the smooth process as before . A week ago or something, i had regurgitation of food back into my mouth, but since then, all i am having is a constant burping, a bit of a burning sensation in chest, and difficulty swallowing food due to dry swollen throat... But all in all, i have been having these acid reflux problems since 1 2 weeks and they are constant. I took pepto bismol yesterday.. but it hasnt helped much.. burping and dry throat is still there. plz help
How to cook for someone with IBS and acid reflux?
I recently started seeing someone who has Irritable Bowel Syndrome, a seafood allergy and Acid Reflux. He can't eat many of the foods I love cooking such as Mexican, Seafood, traditional Italian sauces that are acidic, pizza and things like that. He doesn't like potatoes. Weird I know. I know he likes meat, noodle dishes with what sauce I don't know , and salads. I want to make him dinner and I really like to cook but I don't want to make something bland because of his conditions. And I eat really healthy and need to stick with that. Any ideas?
What do they do to treat acid reflux?
I went to the doctor about a month ago, and found out that I have acid reflux. The doctor told me to take pepcid twice a day, for 2 weeks, and then once a day after that. I did that and it got better, but I haven't taken it for a couple weeks and it got bad again. But, I was wondering what they do to treat acid reflux like long term? Thanks.
Is there a doctor out there that is a specialist in acid reflux and can help cure it naturally?
I am definitely not taking pills for the rest of my life because I have acid reflux. I'm a 13 year old that suffers from it daily and it's ruining my life. I used to be a lead singer for a rock band and because of acid reflux......I can't sing anymore. I've had acid reflux for about 8 months now. It is my fault that I have acid reflux because our practices would be a bit late....ending around 9 30pm, so afterward I would get home and eat. I was stupid not to realize at the time that I was eating fast food burgers, tacos etc. right before bed and going to sleep right away after about 20 minutes. So 2 weeks later, I thought that I came down with laryngitis but I found out that I had acid reflux. I haven't eaten fast food or any greasy foods since then and have tried many things but it's not curing me enough to allow me to sing. I could talk but my esophagus is much too damaged from the acid to allow me to sing.Any tips or personal experience would be extremely appreciated

Globus, lump in throat, croaky voice, caused by acid reflux?
Hi, Since I came back from Disney Florida 2 months ago I've been experiencing a feeling of a lump in my throat, a thickening or tightening of the throat, bitter metallic taste, croaky voice and heartburn. My doctor thinks it may be acid reflux caused by a constant diet of cheesburgers and pizza, I'm normally pretty healthy, fit, exercise regularly and rarely have I suffered from indigestion before except when I overindulge. The docs put me on omeprazole for a month to see how it goes, any ideas anybody? Cheers

Sore throat for over a month and acid reflux/GERD?
I've had a sore throat for over a month now. I have no signs of strep throat. I have taken antibiotics and that didn't do much. I have taken nexium and that has helped a little. I also have elevated my head on a pillow and that has helped a little. I'm 54 and a drinker. Is this most likely caused by GERD or acid reflux? I have not had any signs of weightloss, appetite loss, fatigue, etc.
Acid Reflux that won't go away?
I've had heartburn acid reflux since last night. I took Zantac before I went to bed, and still woke up with heartburn acid ref. Today, I have already taken Prevacid, Maalox, and another Zantac, and it still won't go away My Doctor prescribed me Losek Sp? , and it worked for a while, then only kind of worked, now I'm on Prevacid. This sucks What else can I try to get rid of it? I've still got some Losek left, and I haven't tried Tums or Milk of Mag. yet. It feels like I am going to throw up stomach acid. Help My Doctor has already sent me for a fluroscopy and it came back saying that my duodenum sp? is irratable. I have an ultrasound booked for the end of next month to check my gallbladder. I just need relief in the mean time But thanks for the suggestion
Help!! Shortness of Breath, Heart Palpitations, Acid Reflux, Bloating?
I know that is alot of stuff, but those are my symptoms. I have had a echo done in the past two years and an ekg and they came back normal..I get a shooting pain in my chest that comes and goes...I do have acid reflux, so I am curious if that is the culprit. I just started taking nexium. I aslo get the feeling that my heart skips a beat..sigh..please any ideas??
